This shiny thumb ring was crafted on commision for an infamous elven bard, Rhiodar, some three generations ago. His obsession with venoms, especially spider ichors, led him to have this ring ensorcelled by a defiler that owed him a favor. It allows the wearer to cast animal friendship once per day upon any spider. It also bestows a +1 to saves versus spider venom. It is rumored that Rhiodar had more rings made for different types of venomous creatures, such as scorpions and snakes… but they have been lost for years or exchanged hands, if they ever existed to begin with.
