Sacamec once fought a wizard in his wanderings (he didn’t know she was, he was hungry and got the drop on her). After eating her, he kept an odd bunch of leather and rawhide throngs that she kept on her belt. Little did he know that this was her spellbook. He since then has used it to his own purposes of keeping notes – primarily on crafting glass and lenses. While her spells are now destroyed, the wards she placed on them still remain.

The holder of these strings receives a +2 bonus to saves versus spells.

It may offer a bonus to lenscrafting or glassmaking if the halfling ever decides to formally learn eiter skill. That is yet to be seen.
